Description

Befesa Medio Ambiente turns old trash into new treasure. The waste recycling giant treats more than 2.5 million tons of industrial waste per year in France, Portugal, Spain, the UK, and the Ukraine and in the Americas in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Peru. Befesa has recycled its industrial waste management subsidiaries, consolidating them into a new company, Befesa Gestión de Residuos Industriales (Befesa Gri). The company recycles aluminum and salt slag, zinc residues and steelworks dust, nonferrous metals, plastics, used oils, and other industrial wastes. Befesa Medio Ambiente, which also has major desalination operations, is a subsidiary of Spanish engineering and process management group Abengoa.
